I'm so glad I have come across this series of books starring Jonathan Grave. He is a hostage rescue specialist who gets in and gets the job done, regardless of how many bad guys he has to kill to achieve his goal. I really liked the inclusion of Harvey in this one, to bring a moral code that can sometimes be forgotten in the quest to rescue people. I loved his interactions with Jonathan and Boxers. Excellent story, well-written thriller with great characters; this is a fantastic series and I am moving straight on to the next one. Wow. I'd read about half this book over a period of weeks where I was very busy. Today I had to finish. I reached a point where there was so much action that I couldn't put it down. Gilstrap had action switching back and forth in several locations. The pacing was perfect. The characters believable and human. Before I read No Mercy and Hostage Zero, I wasn't big on books with any military or political action. I excluded them from my reading list. John Gilstrap has convinced me that I should take another look at some of these. Definitely worth the read!
