I don't see why anyone thinks this is all that different than any other manga in this category. I did like this manga, but it is not nearly as shocking as everyone makes it out to be. Maybe I just have read too many like this? It has the typical characters and betrayal, the user falling for the used. The lead does need to grow a backbone. But, it fits well into its genre, and knowing the wide variety that can entail when I started reading it, I was not the least bit shocked at any of the scenes. I look forward to reading the next ones. Holy bonanza. Hatsumi needs a backbone and I hope that happens soon. Asuza should be arrested and Ryoki? Jeeze, I was all set to hate him.This has a lot of dark themes and both violent and cruel actions. I was actually a bit uncomfortable with one scene and frustrated by our heroines actions, I actually agreed with what Ryo had said.This is not a light hearted manga. It's dark, violent, sad and a little scary. Just how the world can be. You can only that it gets better and pray you have the strength to continue. I hope Hatsumi makes it.
What do You think about Hot Gimmick, Volume 1 (2009)?
Just as facinating and smutty as everyone said. It's incredibly hard to put down.
