Really liked Lance and Summer's relationship. I also loved Summer and her mother's relationship. This book is pretty pg13. Kept using the word "plundered" in some sex parts. It was kind of creepy at times. You kind of wished they did more/more details since it is a romance book? I liked how it had different plots. Showed you different sides of the characters. I think my favorites were Lance, Summer, and KT. KT doesn't really have a big character which was a bit disappointing. She really reminded me of Julie from the Kate Perry novels. Same kind of spunk, young, rebellious. I felt so bad for Summer when her mom died and Lance wasn't there for her and then she finds out he was fighting for his own life. Almost made me cry! Def wasn't romantic XD One thing i didn't care for was that Summer kept having to write a thesis for her college to graduate. I'm not sure if the whole book is suppose to be that or what since the ending didn't show it. You think she would have included it. Also didn't like how those two got married but yet didn't even write about it. Just goes to her graduation and bam.. calling each other husband and wife type thing. Sure, he did ask her to marry him but i feel like we missed a lot of the story then. The heroine barely has any backbone and is more often just plan rude, and when it comes to the hero she's nothing shy of wanton, no personality, barely conversation before she throws herself at him time and time again. Th author spent more time saying things she wanted the heroine to be- creative, cultural, spitfire, strong- but never showed her to be anything beyond a wanton, whiney, rude cry baby.Free or not, the heroine was so dislikeable I gave up 1/2 through the book.
