How To Archer: The Ultimate Guide To Espionage And Style And Women And Also Cocktails Ever Written (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
As a fan of the show, I found it's companion book pretty good. The humor's a mix of crude & inappropriate comments (as you might expect), but a few genuinely hilarious statements and jokes squeeze there way in to make the entire package worth it.If anything, the book made me appreciate the show more. One of the things that makes such a selfish jerk like Archer tolerable (and occasionally sympathetic) is that he's got other people around him to bounce and react off. This book is 100% Archer talking about Archer, and sometimes his ego can get to be too much.Either way, it was worth the read. If you like the show, check it out. This is by far and away the funniest book I have ever read. I could not stop pissing myself laughing the whole way through it (no seriously... there were times when a little pee did actually come out I was laughing so hard). If you are a fan of Archer, then you will love this book, and if you aren't reading it with H. Jon Benjamin's voice in your head then you're not reading it correctly. If you're not a fan of Archer, then shame on you... and also, why are you reading a review on a book about something you don't like?If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. It's the first book in a long time that has made me read until I literally fell asleep from staying up so late because I couldn't put it down.
