This book was a vast improvement from the first book. And what I mean when I say that is that it only copied the Lux series at the beginning of the book. Afterward it seemed to go in a different direction, which I was happy about considering how disappointed I was with how the first book was some straight up plagiarism. I would give it 3.5 stars but since I can't give 1/2 stars Id rather round down than up. What I liked was Chase, of course, and I like Angel enough although sometimes her decision making was suspect. Oh yes, walk into the woods alone at night; nothing bad will happen. Because its not like bad things have happened there before...There were some twists that I didn't expect and that was refreshing considering how predictable the first book was since I had read the Lux series. Things I didn't like about the book: the whole hot and cold relationship thing between Chase and Angel. I got it and I enjoyed it at first but at some point it was too drawn out, annoying, and completely predictable. Also some of the dialogue was just super corny (I guess it is YA though). And characters were just having changes of heart with very little explanations and it didn't make a whole lot of sense (even for a book about half demons and their super human powers). Oh yeah, and the typos. Way less than the first book but still too many for my comfort. Other than that it was a decent read. Not the most memorable book but entertaining enough. 3.5 stars. My personal weakness (I mean beside chocolate) : the supernatural part of the looove going on (I don't mean the demon thingy, I'm talking about what saved Angel by the end of the first book).I lived the banter. It just is so much fun to imagine someone's head when you say stuff like that… Totally.Their relationship is getting hotter in this book.Unfortunately, I'll have to highlight a few things I personally disliked :1. Angel has a mother. I'm not a 100% sure because she is hardly a part of the story (aside from her couple and her cooking). And really ? What kind of parent is that dumb ?2. Lexi is Angel's best friend. So Angel says. Curious, because I am pretty sure Lexi went from being a regular member of the cast to a mere recurring. Too bad, she was kick ass !3. Emma. Her character is uninteresting. Her banter is similar to Angel's. And the mood swings… She has issues. The thing is : what issues ? Cause I sure as hell don't want to pay 5€ to discover it by reading a novella. At least, in Jennifer Estep's Mythos Academy, you don't feel cheated by not buying novellas.I still liked it. I read it in a day. *hooked !*
What do You think about Hunting Angel (2000)?
I liked Jennifer Esteps series, Mythos Academy better. It was origin and I learnt about the Greek gods.

It was ok, but it doesn't have me wanting to read the 3rd book.
