I really thought I would love this book but it just missed the mark for me. There were some positives, such as Embers relationship with her sister, Mae. I really liked Jessa, she was adorable. Jack/Brady was sweet. There were a lot of things I did not like about this book though. Normally, I am all for a little insta-love but I just couldn't buy it in this book. I didn't feel any connection between Jack/Brady and Ember. Also, Jack being called Brady - I thought that was incredibly silly. I didn't like Embers relationship with her ex and what a pushover she was. I almost DNF this book but thought I would hold out some hope for a little steamy action and instead it was a fade to black encounter. I ended up skimming a lot towards the end and just didn't feel invested enough in these characters to hope for a HEA. While this book was not for me, if you enjoy a non-steamy, semi-unrealistic, insta-love, Hollywood type romance, you may enjoy this book. I'll be honest, I didn't feel like I spent enough time with the main characters to believe that they fell in love with each other so quickly. However, because of my love for Hollywood romances and because of the wonderful dialogue between all of the characters, I really enjoyed this book! There were times that I was chuckling out loud to myself while reading this book. I would read another book from this author.
What do You think about I Call Him Brady (2000)?
Such a nice story. Loved all the characters especially Brady. Good easy reading.
