Warning: Contains Spoilers. I loved reading this book because even though I love crime fiction and police situations and the whole shebang, I loved the romantic byline even more. Anyone looking for a strong, solid female protagonist should pick up this book and you'll find yourself flying through the pages. Unlike the ever popular American woman being written about nowadays, Eve or Evie is not a flirt. She and Noah have a nice healthy story line and she manages to stay loyal to him which I find quite refreshing, compared to other heroines who have three to four 'boyfriends'.The serial killer who could disappear with the 'touch of a key' was truly frightening. And to find out it was Dr. Pierce all along gave me goosebumps. A good book, and a fast paced read with good wholesome characters that you can relate to easily. As always Karen Rose rises to the challenge of grabing the reader from the first page till the last one.I was pleased with the plot and the characters. Women are always very strong and willing to overcome their past traumas.Though reality not often ends well for victims such as Evie, I must confess that what appeals me most to this author is the suspense, thrill and the climax romance that ends in a happy ending.
