"I even funnier" was a good book and it was full of laughs and amusement. I recommend this book for people who need a laugh. This book had nothing really wrong with it and it had things that were relatable in life. I liked the part when Jamie Grimm was on stage performing his jokes and the part when Jamie and Gilda kissed because it was romantic. All in all this book was amazing and funny and you should read it. Jaime Grimm is moving through the national stand-up comedy competition America's Funniest Kid. In the previous volume, he made it through the state competition, and this book is set to highlight the regional competition. Jaime is quite interesting character. His big hope is to grow up to be a standup comic, which is pretty impressive because he has had a tough life. His family was in a car accident that not only cost him the use of his legs (he is in a wheelchair), but also his parents and younger sister. He now lives with his aunt and uncle and their less then friendly son. Jaime refers to them as the Smilies. He has an "Uncle" Anthony, who has taken him under his wing as he trains for the competition. Jaime also has a great group of friends that will support him to the end. This books if filled with jokes, and a lot of them are corny, which is OK considering the intended audience. They can definitely appreciate that kind of humor. Like most of the other Middle School Stories coming out of the James Patterson brand, this volume is part traditional book and part graphic novel. The illustrations are well done and fit the tone of the story being told. This really is a great story about a kid overcoming difficulty, though there is one point where another difficult situation is thrown at Jaime that isn't really necessary. Even with that, the book is loads of fun and an easy to sell to most tweens.
