Chandler has been appointed guardian to his 5 year old niece after her parents are both killed in a car wreck right after Thanksgiving. On the way to his parent's house for Christmas his borrowed car breaks down at a rest stop. Steve is on his way to Vegas to escape the holidays after a rough year health-wise. He is a bit of a gear head and stops to help Chandler and Poppy. And so the adventure begins...As long as you can go with the mantra of "suspend your disbelief" it is a nice read. It reminds me of the story lines from one of those Hallmark or Lifetime Channel Christmas specials (with the notable exception of the MCs both being male, of course). Why haven't I read this ZA Maxfield story??----Finally read this!A sweet story about a young guy who is guardian of his pretty little nice, he is traveling to his parents house to give her up because he can't take care of her.Along the way his car brokes down and he meets Steve (I want my own Steve!), a perfect guy who usually has a good Christmas spirit but this year he is just not feeling it.It's cute to read how this chance encounter between two strangers blossoms into something else.
The premise is just laugh-out-loud funny! Warm and sweet, this was a delicious holiday story.
