where to start with this story... it's about love... unconditional love... love from the start, love till the end...I only wish to ever find a love as strong as Alex & Jared's... I want the author to bottle it.. I want every author who ever thinks of writing a romance book to read this story.... and not just this one but from the beginning, from "Our Decemebr".If you didn't read the first book then don't read this one.. you won't understand the love that's written on every page without reading their story from the beginning...when I read the first 3 books I didn't think there would be more, it ended so beautifully then but I can see after this story that there can be more.. I look forward to more...It's hard to find a great love story that stays with you over days and weeks after reading.. where sometimes just out of the blue you think about the 2 MC.. but this story does that, these characters do that.. This author makes you think of them even when you've finished reading, even when you've moved on to a different book.. These charaters pop into your head..Great read, recommend to all, but read the first 4 books first. I love this series, love these characters and I love the fact that Diane Adams does not just give you a chronological order of their lives!After 16 years together and the challenges they have already faced, calamity strikes, hitting them hard, especially Alex, who falls into a depression while he is not sure if he will be able to do the work he loves again and where his love with Jared had been his anchor and his solace for so many years, this time, even that does not seem to be enough for him. However, Jared does not give up, even though he is unable to get him out of, all he can do is be there for him, as he's always done, and only makes one request during this time - which I won't tell you, but it will make you cry because it is so simply stated of what Jared is afraid of.Some people may think that Jared is always the giver in their relationship, but as you find out in this book, he feels he's been given quite a bit since he never expected Alex!Clark, Stevie and their kids are all in this book, Jared starts to build a relationship with Alex's mother in this after he needs her help, then he asks for her help and it's definitely a direction changing book as all the characters have choices to make about where they go from here.I don't know if this will be the last we'll see of Alex and Jared, or they will simply appear in books about Xander and Jay, either way, reading this book is like visiting with close friends, you feel what they feel, experience their highs and lows, want to help them, hope for them to find their way and you'd do all over again just to be a part of their lives.Loved it!
