Il Signore Della Vendetta (1995) - Plot & Excerpts
Well, I actually got past the hero's name being "Gunnar"--I have a degree in Medieval Lit and I'll bet my modern undies that there never was a Medieval man named that--and I enjoyed this book. I got it on sale at Amazon [.99], so I was expecting much, but despite some of the standard plot elements, this book was really touching. Both the hero and the heroine learn hard lessons and lean on each other. Also, every time Gunnar called Raina "Lamb", my toes curled. Lord of Vengence is the first historical romance novel of author Tina St. John, a.k.a. Lara Adrian, written several years ago. After thoroughly enjoying her other books (both historical and paranormal), I was looking forward to this one. So....overall I found this book to be an enjoyable read. The only drawbacks for me were I thought the story started slow, it was not as well written as some of her other books, and the story was kind of predictable. Desptie this, I would recommed this book to other fans of historical romance.
