La povera sirenetta di Anderesen o la versione Disney sono lontano mille anni luce dall'ambientazione a dir poco inquietante di questo libro. A pensarci bene nella nostra realtà forse e' ucciso anche di peggio, ma sono rimasta un po' perplessa dalla storia raccontata nel libro sul destino di queste bellissimo sirene presenti in questo presunto nightclub. But to be a mermaid at Fathoms means that you must be a virgin -- and remain one while you work there. And when Derek Prince falls in love with the ethereal Xenia, he discovers that loving a legendary creature comes with certain challenges.Once again, Ms. Reisz does a sterling job balancing sex and the stories behind the characters, exploring the mermaids' motivations and Derek's choices over what he wants versus what he needs, as well as the unpleasant side effects of an early fall from grace. All in all, an excellent tale.
