The plot was okay. The story line was okay. The humor was annoying and the writing failed. Using vegetables as swear words is only funny the first time. After that, you become an annoying little twit. The humor was pounded into the ground. I've read books where I have laughed so hard, I had tears running down my face. This didn't even make a smile. The humor didn't carry this book and it needed a major rewrite of the scenes. As someone else said, it's an Evanovich clone and even Evanovich has worn out her jokes at #17. This one didn't even make it past 1. I thought this was a really good book. The main character Mo, was described in a way that caused me to want meet her. I found a great balance of humor and drama as she fought to outwit the mobster that kept getting in the way. The characters were also distinct in development so that it was clear when the dialogue was going on. I liked the duality between the movie star's alter ego and the agency wanna be.
Entertaining: funny, fast-paced, and a mystery with some twists.
