Zane glanced briefly at Danica as he placed two soft tortillas on a plate and loaded them down with the fajita mixture, topping them with cheese and a dab of hot sauce. She stood at the table with one foot resting on the seat of a chair. She had refused to sit with the plug in her ass and neither him nor Lowell had argued the point. Zane figured her current stance probably gave the plug a bit more room and eased the pressure in her ass. “It’s under control.” Lowell pulled three bottled diet sodas from the refrigerator, turning at the same time Zane did to head to the table. He snarled at the twelve-ounce bottles he set out for each of them. “I hate Diet Coke.” Danica did a horrible job at stifling a giggle. “It’s Coke Zero, and there’s always water or milk if you would prefer that.” The expression on Lowell’s face turned so pained Zane nearly laughed. “What I would prefer is a beer, but you don’t seem to have that in the fridge either.”
