I liked the story it was very good. I had one big problem with the book. I figured out the big secret the book touts in the beginning of the story. Once I figured that out I pretty much knew how the book would end. Had Patterson made it more challenging to figure out the book would have got a much higher rating from me. I have read other books by him and this so far was the most disappointing book I have read. I will eventually try another but I will wait on it and if it turns out like this one I will probably not read anymore of his books. I usually avoid any fiction about the Iraq war, but the blurb on the back of this book intrigued me. I really liked the premise, but the characters were frustrating and difficult to root for. If it hadn't been for Capt Paul Terry I may have ditches the book. he was the lone likable, genuine character in the book. Even Brian was frustrating as he dripped with lies the from start to finish...it was very off-putting. I may have been expecting too much but I usually get much more from this author.
very entertaining novel. Some good twists, a couple of wrinkles I did not anticipate.

This was a good court room drama to listen to. I really didn't see the ending coming.
