Every once in a while you will find a hidden gem that truly brightens with the power of the sun!!! That is what this book was for me! I downloaded this expecting it to be a filler of sorts while waiting for my latest read to be available for purchase. I was hooked from the first paragraph. I couldn't put it down without thinking about what Ellery was doing and if she would see Ash today. Her heartbreak and total hiding from the world after her grandfathers funeral because she was heartbroken over Grey!WOW!!! I am going now to get every last one of the books that are available. I hope they all are!!!5 outta 5 and it is going to be a must reread for me!!! Dreadfully written book but most cringe worthy of all its flaws is when the author makes a point to write in her book about how the character is reading a particular popular book, and while she does not name the book she describes the 'plot' of twilight. Then all I could think throughout the rest of the book was that this book is just twilight without the supernatural. The lead girl is boring, shy and all those other traits that make her a Mary Sue. The two love interests are controlling and creepy (one goes as far as to choose the clothes she is wearing that day). The writer is another one that felt the need to regurgitate the thesaurus, and then makes it even more annoying by explaining all her big words. Don't get me started on the number of times the word chagrin cropped up. Ann Mauren was definitely channelling Stephenie Meyer the day she wrote this rubbish. I will not be attempting the other books.
I loved it! Can't wait to continue with the series, hope the rest come out soon in Kindle version.
