I didn't like this book as well as the first one in the series. I found the murder of the mother disturbing and a bit too graphic for a cozy. I always figure the body in a cozy should be nearly anonymous, not someone introduced earlier, someone with five kids and a loving husband. It bothered me. Worse was the way the life went on, especially for the kids, with seemingly little impact, after their mom was gone. That's just my own bias.I also figured out the murderer pretty quickly. This second book was just as good as the first and I am enjoying seeing the characters grow. In this latest book we actually see April's estranged husband and more of Mitch as well. The funny part is when she gets an elderly set of roommates that she has to adjust too. It wasn't as easy to tell who the murder was compared to the first book, but you still might guess before the end who it is. I look forward to the next book in this series.
What do You think about Inked Up (2009)?
Just couldn't get into this one. Couldn't seem to care what happened to any of the characters.
