Maybe it was the elf and fairy thing but I just couldn't get into this book. I typically like fantasy books with witches and magic and I was hoping this would be a good one but it was just disappointing. I skimmed the last half of the book. The book is pretty short so it's a quick read but I think because it's so short there's not much character development and I didn't care about any of the characters at all. The plot really wasn't that interesting to me and it seemed predictable. Overall, just not my type of book. I will not continue this series. You know I read that this story had horrible reviews. I know everyone has expectations of what they are looking for. And it is obvious that they did not find what they were looking for, however I do not take everyone's opinion for anything than just that opinion. And I am glad for it because I liked this book. I am left wanting more. What is Xan exactly who was this mysterious friend who mentored him and where do they all go from here. What is up with Simon? He gives me the creeps. I feel there is something foul coming from the Order. How deep does it go? I am about to go in and start the next book in hopes of having some of those questions answered.
i think this book is very good and intresting I would love to read the next one
