Well done! Just finished this novel by N. Gemini Sasson. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this chapter in history through Queen Isabelle's eyes.The author did a very believable job recreating the moments: large and small that impacted the people and moved the story forward. I also enjoyed the way she wove in the culture and mores of the time as they impacted Isabella. I found myself caught up in the moments of the story. I need to download the next one!! I highly recommend. Enjoyed this book; the author presents her heroine from a different point of view. She is somewhat kinder to Isabella than the general consensus has been. In particular, I enjoyed her portrayal of the young Edward III and look forward to reading more about him as he grows into hIs kingship in the author's sequel. Once again, however, I would have enjoyed the book more if not for a frequent number of spelling and grammatical errors.
