It Takes Two Book 4 (The Matchmaker Series, Book 4): An Alpha Billionaire Romance - Plot & Excerpts
We made our way toward my apartment and I couldn’t help but think that Avery would be proud of me; I was taking the initiative. As we continued up the stairs to the building, our footsteps echoed against the concrete and stone, my thoughts turned more frantic. The only place I had ever seen Mason was at the mansion, a neat masterpiece with architecture and couture to die for. My apartment on the other hand, was often a disaster. It was a typical college apartment that reflected my busy schedule between work and school. I began to regret inviting Mason upstairs. We slid into the waiting elevator and I pushed the button for the third floor. Mason’s shoulder pressed up against mine as the doors closed. We were alone in the elevator and I felt my heart begin to beat faster. I could feel his heat as he turned to look at me, his eyes scanning up and down my body slowly before coming to rest on my face. I noticed his slight stubble again, trying to remember if I had felt it against my lips during my brief kiss.
