“I did see something, though. Right when I was coming back. For a second I did think my eyesight was going to come back.” Adam looked up at him. “What did you see?” He envisioned something like that, sight that had not been used in years, would be more like a foggy haze that Nick would struggle to see through. Nick smiled. “I saw your face.” Adam blushed, and he was glad Nick couldn’t see it. But Nick’s hands touched his face. “Your cheeks are warm.” “Yeah, yeah,” Adam muttered, and then because he absolutely had to, needed it because they hadn’t made love since before Nick was shot three days ago, Adam kissed his neck. He allowed his hand to slip down and squeeze Nick’s thigh, letting the other man know exactly what Adam was after. Nick seemed surprised. “You’re not too tired?” “No. Please tell me you’re not either. I really need you right now.” Nick was silent for a minute, and for a split second Adam worried that, for once, his werewolf assassin just might be too tired for sex.
