Jennifer's Lion though short was a very fun read and extremely sexy. This author sure knows how to write some steamy love scenes. Aside from this Jennifer's character is really sweet and I was really glad when her asshole ex boyfriend got what he deserved. Again it is a very short read, but it is an entertaining read if you have some time to kill. I would give this a 3 out of 5 because it has a good story just not a lot of time to really get to know the characters. Left to die deep in the Serengeti, Jennifer White, who had loved too easily and trusted too completely, is devastated, scared and confused. When Seth proposes she naively thinks her life will be a happily-ever-after fairy tale, instead, here she is, days later, disorientated, parched and close to collapse from heat exhaustion.Cyeon Rarh rescues the lone woman and brings her home with him. As the alpha of his shape-shifting pride, the lovely plump woman lights a fire in him that can not be quelled. Jennifer, reeling from her recent betrayal, is reluctant to return his ardor. Jennifer’s feelings are raw; her conflicted thoughts haunt her every moment, yet Cyeon manages to soothe her body with a passion that is heartfelt and unexpected. Determined to confront Seth, Jennifer sets about devising a plan of action to accomplish just that. She feels driven to know the truth, no matter how painful, so that she can get closure and decide for herself if what she feels for Cyeon is simply gratitude or something more extraordinary; truly lasting.I relished reading this short story. Jennifer learns some hard lessons, meets adversity head-on, and still retains a genuine innocence that astounds. The banter between herself and Cyeon is funny and arousing at the same time. The author knows how to write hot, descriptive, passionate sex scenes that enthrall and are as scorching as the relentless heat of the Serengeti.
