I've read a few of Kristan Higgins' books now, and this one has been my favorite so far. The writing was so well done! I became so involved in the story and the character's lives, and I ached every time Trevor and Chas were in scenes together. There was heart break in the novel, and it made me so sad that I actually cried a little. Even though Ms. Higgins drags us through an emotional boot camp, all ends well and I will read this book over and over again. This was a quick, easy read; a fresh take on the girl who has loved her brother's best friend for years but he just treats her like a little sister. Chastity O'Neill is the daughter of the local Fire Chief and the sister to several firemen in their small town, everyone knows her as an O'Neill. Chastity is no delicate flower but she would like to find a man that makes her feel cherished. Trevor Meade has made it abundantly clear that their fling years ago will never be repeated. Trevor is practically an adopted son. I liked this book, however I found the secondary story of the Chastity's parents marriage unravelling unnecessary and frustrating. Really haven't we figured out by now that pining for someone to change the essence of who they only make them both frustrated ... and after 25 years really. I give this book 3 1/2 stars.

Hay que tener paciencia con este libro, pero eso no le quita la bonita historia que es.
