Blegh. I'm so unimpressed with this volume. It's just typical brainless shoujo that I'm a tad ashamed I actually finished. I kept thinking it would improve in the next chapter because the first three chapters of the first volume were duds in my opinion, too, but I liked the next three. This volume didn't improve. These characters are pretty stock and at this point I'm not even sure there is a larger plot at play. I think the author is just playing by ear and stuffing in as many bishie and kawaii chibi moments as possible. All the relationships are still too shallow and contrived for me to give a damn. Weak humor, story, characters + mediocre art = not worth my time. Although I still think that Nanami is a little useless, I liked this volume as well. Kurama, the teen idol, who at first seemed he was going to be a problem, ended up being more of a help, and also an ally. He was funny, as well as the two guardians Kotetsu and Onikiri (not sure if these are the names, I have to check!)How cute is Tomoe as a child? Super cute. Then end was also cute and romantic, although the problem with the God ended up pretty quickly and easy.
What do You think about Kamisama Kiss, Vol. 02 (2011)?
I am offcially a fan of Tomoe and Nanami. Great manga!
