He rarely raised his voice to her, though he had done so many times to others. She stared her brother down. He was laird here and knew the ways of war much better than she, but he did not know Ronan like she did. He was not reckless, but he was, no doubt, hurting like no other time in his life and she was helpless to ease his pain.
