Although not as light and fluffy fun as the first few books in the Undead series, it is probably the better of the current story arc. It has gotten so crammed with characters or with the could be confusing story of parallel dimensions and time traveling that the humor of the original books is nearly gone, and character development has stopped. Maybe instead of twenty - something mentions of shoes and Christian Loubitan and the repeating of the same facts in nearly the same manner about Jessica's pregnancy, some other humor or plot could have been squeezed in. I normally enjoy this series because I find it an amusing & light read. This book was OK but it definitely was not one of my favorites. I found it confusing and hard to follow. I spent a lot of trying to figure out what had just happened. When I have to spend too much time trying to figure out what in the world is going on or re-reading passages to try to shed some light on the story and what I may have missed, it dampens my enjoyment of the book. This happened often with this book.
This one was fun. I'm glad the series is back to being entertaining that way. I loved Furr and Burr.
