This book is strange, in the way that it shows you what a little girl would think of an apocalypse. You truely see her innocence. It makes it even worse that she has no idea whats going on. When her friends are turned into "monsters" she tries escaping from the school, to her house. I think one of the great parts of the book is, that you truely see what an innocent mind thinks of such a tragedy. The only part that I was to happy about, is that it was "writen" by Kellie. Because of that you don't get much descriptions, or detail on anything, except what this little girl thinks of it all. This is a free kindle book. I'd rate this a 3.5. I found this is a neat idea about zombies from a view point of a nine year old girl. We learn about the this plague of zombies from her diary entries. I liked how they style of it to be hand written entries. Some spelling errors to make it more believable, but honestly most 9 year old girls know about zombies. The entries are from 1993, which makes it more believable of her not knowing what a zombie is. They weren't as popular as they are now. Zombies are in our pop culture and most children know about them.
