Karen Rose's books aren't normally filled with roses and rainbows or puppies and kittens (although she always incorporates an animal somewhere), but I found this book to be the most disturbing. I'm honestly glad the Vartanian trilogy is over because I didn't care much for any of the three. There was just too much going on and there was so much evil. Susannah had been through so much as well it was often sickening to read what had happened to her. I'm interested to read the next book and put these in the past. This really is an excellent thriller, and, boy, is it complex. In fact, my only hesitation in giving it 5 stars would be that it's so complex that I sometimes felt bogged down in details. Plot overtook characters at times--though character is done well. I may or may not have a crush on Agent Papadopoulos. That said, Rose does a phenomenal job of juggling a gargantuan cast of characters, and I'll definitely be checking out more of her work.
What do You think about Kill For Me (2009)?
It's gd but I feel you need to read the first two to understand fully the ins and outs of the plot.
