This was a sweet little book and I enjoyed this over all. It felt a lot like a shifter book to me, with one being the more dominant ‘I’ll show you the gay ropes’ type, and our kind, humble but with a backbone Rin who was born a price in name only, but he’s no spoiled twink. I was disappointed that the ‘bad guy’ was not revealed at the end of the book, considering the build-up, the end felt abrupt, but we did get an epilogue of sorts. I may read the next in the series at some point, but I’m not pressed to jump right to it. So, this story wasn't super long(there is a sequel). The summary seemed very interesting and some of the reviews piqued my interest even further. So, I decided to get it, despite feeling it was a bit pricey. Rin(short for Rinin) is a Prince by name. His father kept him isolated from the outside world. That is until his father becomes deceased and the council decides to send Rin to the neighboring kingdom that took them over. Rin has enough common sense to DEMAND a contract of shorts which the King accepts. So Rin is sent off to be married off to the king.Rin is thrown into a hostile(towards his kind) land where he is unfamiliar with there customs. But he wings it pretty well and on top of that his relationship with Merlin(the king) isn't all perfect. Rin has moments where he isn't sure if Merlin wants him for himself or because of his ability. As their relationship grows, there are attempts on Rin's life...Hopefully all will be well....
