Awful... I had to make myself finish this book.It needs some serious editing, it wasn't even funny. Lots and lots... and looots of mistakes, such a huge turn off for me.And then the story was all over the place, they were making out and about to have "super hot sex" (not really) in the kitchen counter (with a kid around and a roomate too, but who cares?!) and in the next paragraph it was over, they've had THE BEST SEX EVER (again) and they were getting ready to go to work the next day... wait, whaaaat???Now to be fair, I got bored and wasn't really focused 100%, but that happened a lot!And then, there was this scene where she was, I think she was having lunch with TRAVIS, but then it read "Drake made a joke, he was so funny" or something like that.. come ooon!!!!, can't even get the characters straight?Random scenes and characters that were thrown in there to make it interesting.Molly was annooooooooying, God!, her inner dialogues were so exasperating, she has the mind of a 12 year-old little girl. And I hate it when an author keeps telling me of all the men this woman attracts but she doesn't even realize how gorgeous she is, even though they all pretty much drool when she's around.Drake as a total creep who then became a pussy.Michael...stereotype of a gay man.Kendra, Blay..whatever her name was, part of the randomness that made this book so bad.Tyler... the other ingredient for the classic formula in these kind of books. Writing style of this book was little weird. There were these scenes jumps and I really didn't get them. Like I would be reading one scene and it would cut in the middle and we jumped somewhere else without conclusion of that scene. I was quite confused in some places. And there was bad case of insta love. I sometimes don't mind that but this one was too much. Only thing I liked was main character Molly and her daughter Stella.I couldn't connect with Drake at all and the other guy Travis was even worse. He was creepy and I really don't know why Molly wanted to stay friends with him. I liked the premise of this book but the actual book not so much.
What do You think about Kitchen Affairs (2013)?
3 1/2 stars Good, not great. Looking forward to the progression of this story, though.
