Help me.” The amulet pulsed, sending shockwaves arcing before it started to sing. The trill tripped into sorrowfulness as though adding its appeal to Afina’s, and heat pooled in her fingertips. Afina shoved again. The corpse rolled, spinning with astonishing speed in the opposite direction.
