Holy scorching hotness!!!! Thank goodness I live in Alaska and was able to stay cooled while reading this story otherwise I would have combusted. I was not capable of putting this book down for anything. I became smitten with Jackson in Addi's story and completely fell in love with him in this story. I also cherished Serentity. Her internal struggle between her father and Jackson was crippling. Jackson has so much compassion under his rugged alphaness. This story is definitely in my reread rotation and Jackson just shot up the list of my favorite men. This was the best of of all of them. Jackson and Serenity are amazing. The age gap doesn't bother me, but is a huge obstacle in the book. Not to mention Hogan plays a huge part of what stands between the chemistry in Jackson and Serenity. I love how all the original characters make an appearance.It is every bit as hot as book one , but is absolutely its own story. Both these people have you wanting the Happily ever after for them, but the bones in their closets run deep. The life in an MC is far from glamorous and some parts are gritty. I felt horrible for Serenity at times because of Jackson, but also had to see why his actions took place..
