I actually loved this...er...love story of the Duchess of Gordon and her highlander! Although, the writer had me falling asleep a few times hither thither and yon - I did end up skipping a few pages of lengthy description that...blah...see? I'm bored just writing about that part. Wouldn't it totally blow your mind if you married a man thinking that your true love was dead, only to find out he was alive?! Good stuff here. I managed to read through this book quicker than Rabbie Burns apparently went through his wenches!I'm not going to ruin the book by spilling specifics...but I enjoyed this read so very much that I had to take the time to write a review. This novel was not only well written; it's story was so captivating that a warning of "May Cause Sleep Deprivation" should be added to it's cover, I as I could not...WOULD NOT put it down! An emotional roller-coaster that sparks sadness and sensuality at the same time, a deep curtsy to Ciji Ware.I note of warning though, it's not the type of ending to leave one particularly satisfied...but at least it won't have you rolling your eyes saying "yeah right" either.
What a great story! Loved the characters, the historical facts and of course the romance!
