Kıyıya Vuran Hayatlar (2008) - Plot & Excerpts

hey, it didn't suck. There was a lot of knitting and food in it and the mystery made sense. I guessed the answer quite early on, there were some dead giveaway clues but they were slipped in, in a way where I am not sure if everyone would guess or not (I am pretty good at guessing). There was a level of complexity, it was not straight-forward at all. Everyone in these books is always very wealthy and has a pretty easy life (except for the poor vagrants they help) but the characters were mostly likeable. Only trouble is with such likeable, nice and innocent characters where will she get the other victims and murderers from.I will probably read the next one if it comes my way Title: Death by CashmereAuthor: Sally GoldenbaumSeries: Seaside Knitters #1Synopsis (from bn.com):Not long after Isabel “Izzy” Chambers opens up a knitting shop in the sleepy fishing town of Sea Harbor, Massachusetts, a diverse group of women begins congregating each week to form the Seaside Knitters.Izzy raises some eyebrows when she rents the apartment above her shop to Angie Archer, whose reputation for loose behavior and a quick temper has made her unpopular with many locals. But could any of them have wanted her dead? Angie’s body is discovered drowned in the harbor, her long red hair tangled like seaweed in a lobster trap.An official investigation rules the death an accident. There are speculations of too many whiskey sours, a slippery wharf, a dark night…But Izzy and the Seaside Knitters smell something fishy. When several strange incidents occur above the shop, the women decide to take matters into their own hands. But before long, their small-town sense of security is frayed, and the threat of more violence hangs over this tightly knit community…My thoughts: I was recently introduced to this series when I took part in a blog tour for Sally Goldenbaum’s latest book, “Murder in Merino”. Well, there are no words to say how much I want to move into and live in these books. I read a lot of cozy mysteries and some are certainly cozier than others . . . . this one is most definitely cozy, cozier, and coziest.I absolutely love these characters – charming, fun, authentic, just wonderful. The sense of friendship and camaraderie in these books is astounding, and so heart-warming. . . I want to be friends with these people, when can I move there.I highly recommend this charming and heart-warming cozy series . . . these would be a fantastic beach read or plane read for your upcoming summer travels.Moving quickly on to #2,And remember,Books Are Life
