Heath has quickly has quickly become one of my all time favourite authors and I am reading her backlist. This is a great story of 2 people who fall in love but that is not enough for them to be together as there are real life problems to be dealt with. Both characters show growth and face challenges (believable challenges for a romance novel) headon. I highly recommend this book, now I just have to go find the first 2 of the series. shades of "Play Dirty" by Sandra Brown. it was a fine book as far as the writing went, but I just couldn't help but feel I had read this story before and knew what was coming. That's when I realized the plot, while not exactly that same, reminded me of the plot to "Play Dirty" (man is talked (in this book, his friend guilt trips him. In Play Dirty he is paid) into playing "stud to other man's wife by paralyzed friend/acquaintance. OM's wife and hero end up falling in love with each other, followed by feelings of guilt, etc. Of course, they varied in how the hero and heroine were able to have their HEA, but reading one took out the mystery of what would come when reading the other.
What do You think about La Dette (2012)?
compelling and riveting start to what will be another exciting/enthralling series by Lorraine heath.
