Deirdre was raised as a goddess protecting castle, family, and friends. I was immediately drawn to her. Her and her sisters erected many fences and learned to fight to keep men at bay. It made it very difficult to lower them even for someone interested in breaking down the walls. Pagan also had a hard time giving over control, after years of commanding men in war. I loved how each discovered a way to allow the other some sense of control over their relationship and finally were able to love each other. Loved this novel especially because the main women characters are all strong women who fight for what they believe in. Definitely want to read more into Hellena's and Mirelle's stories I liked this one. I came across it as a freebie download, and I since I haven't read a straight historical romance in a while, I thought I'd give it a shot. I am so glad I did. I found the main female character (and her sisters) very interesting and the dynamics between each other and the men was truly enjoyable. Lots of funny dialogue and sparks between everyone. This is part one in a trilogy of the sisters, but this can be read as a stand alone. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
What do You think about Lady Danger (2012)?
Solid historical romance with laughs and drama. A nice light read.
