This book surprised me, I expected a quick romp that held little else but romance. Instead I was gifted the with the gratifying fillment of a well thought out, emotional wringing book that shows alot of props of the Author. Most romances today have little back bone or background this couldn't be farther from the truth in this books case. Its plot not only successfully ends this story but also leaves it open and implores for more to come. I didn't want to but I am actually excited for other books to come by Lisa Hendrix. The rating scale actally does justice this time, there is no halveis I really did like and enjoy this book. I love this new series!Lisa Hendrix may be known to some, but she is new to me, and I absolutely loved the first two in her Immortal Warrior Series! The historical backdrop makes this shifter series, interesting, intelligent, and refreshing. Cursed viking warriors, paired with fiesty heroines, and an imaginative villianess, instantly drew me in and kept me reading way past bedtime! Not to mention the well written romantic tension, and deeply felt love between the characters! Can't wait to read the third one! Ms. Hendrix, you have a new fan!
What do You think about L'aigle Noir (2011)?
First in a series. The main character has been cursed to be an eagle by day, a man by night.

I just didn't care about this one. I found it too boring to finish.
