I started off being very unsure about this book. Felt it got off to a very slow start. And then I suddenly realized just how much I was enjoying the story. Sand Castle Bay reminds me a lot of Debbie Macomber and that feel good heartwarming story.I ended up enjoying getting to know the Castle family, especially Emily in this case. I believe the other 2 books in the series are about the other sisters Gabi and Samantha. Looking forward to reading the others in the trilogy. I really enjoyed reading my first book by Sherryl Woods. It was a heartwarming story. Emily, the main character travels back to Sand Castle Bay after a hurricane has hit, to make sure that her grandmother is safe and to help her grandmother fix up the restaurant. She left home to go to Los Angeles 10 years ago to become an interior designer. By leaving home, she also left her first love, Boone. But after seeing him for the first time, she realized that she never stopped loving him although she did not want to believe that her feelings were still there. As the story goes on, Boone and Emily struggle with trying to form a relationship that will work for the both of them. Her career is in Los Angeles and his life is back in North Carolina. I won't go into more details because I do not want to spoil it for future readers, but this book shows that when you really love someone, I mean really love them, you will do whatever it takes to make it work. And that is what Emily and Boone did. They overcame obstacles to be with each other. I also have to mention how cute B.J. is (Boone's son. His wife died). and how much he loved Emily and how much Emily loved him. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romance novels as much as me.
