A great read! Read it all in one day. While it is not an action-packed thrilling roller coaster ride, this book is just as interesting and compelling. A page turner. A worldwide epidemic wipes out most of mankind; but this is the story of one woman who found herself alive after waking from a coma - on top of a pile of bodies the size of a football field. How she continues is most fascinating. Character(s) very real, well written.I immediately order the sequel to this book, Last Woman 2, and will be looking for more books by Jacqueline Druga. I really enjoyed this book. It is by no means full of detailed explanations of how to survive but gives you a good glimpse of what someone might experience. The thoughts that run through your mind, the questions that often cannot be answered, and simply a loss of connections. It will make you think and wonder what you would do in a similar situation. How observant are you? Do you care about only yourself or are you willing to help others? This book may start you on a path of exploration to determine what kind of person you really are.
What do You think about Last Woman (2000)?
Great concept but the writing itself was a bit lacking. Good enough that I read book 2.
