Chapter 30: "Before Nic could fumble for his sword to protect himself from attack, Ashur took his face between his hands and kissed him."Right...*Coughs* Well, that came out of literally NOWHERE.Let's make this clear. I am not being homophobic, because, this literally just came out of the blue. Ashur's a foreign prince who just travelled to this land of Mystica whose plan seems to be seducing Nic to gain information. I'm extremely disappointed at how weak this Nic is. He gets rejected by Cleo and goes to drink himself senseless. He craves human touch so much that he does not CARE that a stranger is SEXUALLY ASSAULTING him. Instead, he finds himself "responding". Yay. It's almost as if the author's trying to keep the reader's interest levels up in subtle ways. Except it's not so subtle.Come on. The protagonists are already participating in numerous romantic relationships. Jonas hates Cleo.Cleo loves Theon. *Theon gets killed by Magnus*Cleo hates Magnus.Jonas stops hating Cleo.Cleo loves Jonas.Magnus stops hating Cleo.Cleo has feelings for Magnus. And now this.Again, the ending was rather anti-climatic and failed to emotionally impact me in any way. The only vaguely interesting part was the last sentence which I could see coming from miles away: "The key to destroying the King of Blood was his very own daughter." *...claps* Well done Cleo. You FINALLY managed to catch up with the reader. This book was extremely satisfying. I was hooked after the first book, and 'Rebel Spring' just made me even more hooked. The last 100 pages were a complete surprise and I couldn't be more satisfied by the fact that I was proven wrong; this book is not a cliche. The part where Jason almost died; dear lord I was ready to cry. He was my favourite character, and I was so happy when he and Cleo shared their kiss in the cave. I've been wanting that to happen for a long time!I ended up yelling, laughing and almost crying over this book, and I recommend it to everyone who has a huge love for fantasy literature, that has plot twists that you can't tell before hand.
What do You think about Le Roi Du Sang (2014)?
Ok I told myself to study and not read..welp i was wrong. Wow. This book kept me thinking all day so i had to pick it back up and finish it. Rhodes has created such a fantastic continuation of this wonderful world. I was happy to see more twists and things adding together this round. I still love Magnus but Jonas is sneaking his clever self into my favorites as well. This book is just awesome, I cannot wait for the next book in December, it is for sure going on my Christmas list.

Done reading the sequel to Falling Kingdoms in a day. I really hate the Damoras, they are the Lannisters of FK. Cleo & Magnus finally married. Jonas near-death, saved by Phaedra the Watcher. Althea killed by Aron. Lucia becoming the evil bitch. I'm rooting for Cleo, but not for Jonas. Alexius & Melenia the Elder conspiring to find the Kindred. Was shock with the kissing scene between Prince Ashur Cortas & Nic. Cleo FTW
