Leather, Lace And Rock-n-Roll (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
Interesting plot, an undercover SEAL posing as a super famous rock star, not something you see frequently or ever. That was really hard to believe but, each author has their own right to be as creative as possible. I did enjoy reading the different characters and enjoyed the playful banter between Max and Cameron. Hawke and Rachel were the main characters but their chemistry wasn't really believable, especially with Rachel's childish indecisiveness. The dialogue was a bit hard to follow throughout the entire book. One sentence Max and Hawke are talking then three sentences down Rachel and Hawke are talking somewhere completely different. I found myself rereading a lot of paragraphs because I kept getting confused. The sexual tension was great, very detailed as was the actual act. So no disappointment there. Overall it could have been better if Rachel's character wasn't so whiny with low self-esteem. It was different and I'll give it extra points for that. In the opening scenes, I thought the women were privileged teenagers though, so some description of exactly who/what they were could have been helpful. I love anything unique, it seems like so many romances tend to sound the same and this does stray from the ready made formulas. There is a lot of action, secrets, assumptions, and misunderstandings. A fast paced read.

Stopped on page 89. I have a hard time believing the SEALS+Rock Star thing.
