This is a lovely addition to Casey's series. It's Christmas in Sweet Briar and Torie's family of Sewing Circle ladies come together to help save the town from The Grinch. Southern traditions are being tossed aside by the interloper who has come to Sweet Briar. Maime Wellington, local Councilman's new love has moved in and taken over the Christmas Decorating Committee. As she raises havoc, unseating long-standing traditions and making enemies all around, the women of the Sewing Circle do their best to thwart her plans. Torie also works to unravel the puzzle of who killed Parker Devereux and buried his body under the tree on the library's property. I enjoyed this cozy mystery. I love the characters in the story. This was even better as they come together to try to save Christmas for the town despite the interloper who continues to try to throw out all the old traditions. They came up with lots of fun new ways to bring back the old in new ways. Tori's attempts to try to decipher the "clues" given by Charlotte before she passed away were great and ended in a huge surprise (at least for me). I kept vacillating on how I thought it would end and still didn't get it right. Excellent ending.
I liked this book but think the ending was too rushed.
