Liam's List (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

Last year I had the privilege to read the first book in this series, Vivian's List and it was one of my favorite books of the year! It was emotional and powerful, and I was introduced to some really great characters that I absolutely fell in love with. Not only that, but I couldn't stop thinking about these character. They stayed with me long after I turned the last page. Vivian and Liam are back in this sequel and it is amazing! I didn't know what to expect with this book. I knew it was going to be about Liam and his deployment, but I had no idea how emotional and gut wrenching this book would be. I couldn't put this book down and I couldn't get this story out of my mind. Liam and Vivian grow leaps and bounds in this book. Not only does their love grow and they grow as individuals. This book really showed the toll that military deployment can take on a relationship and both people involved in the relationship. Vivian and Liam are put through hell, but we see that their love can withstand anything that gets thrown at them. I was very pleased to see that Julian has a larger roll in this book, and we got to learn a little more about him and see the dynamics of the relationship between himself and his sister. Also, I am anxious to see if there will be a third book focusing on Julian and his potential love interest. I'm not telling who that is... no spoilers! You must read to find out. Haleigh Lovell really took love, humanity, and solidarity to the brink of hell and ripped your heart out in the process. Then she used love and slammed it all back at you. I don't think I've read a book since The Fault in Our Stars that made me ugly cry as much as this one. Every word, sentence, paragraph and page is more moving than the next. I implore you to read this book, and experience the strength, angst, and love that these characters embody. After reading Vivian's List (Which I loved) I started to read Liam's List straight away. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen....And what a long wait it was!. I found the first half of the book dragged on and just didn't grab my attention like Vivian's List did. I loved Vivian and Liam together, it was a good story, but I just felt this one was lacking, which was a shame because you have to read this book to find out the ending.

What do You think about Liam's List (2014)?

I really liked Liam's List. I enjoyed Vivian's List, but Liam's book was very moving.
