Iona demanded abruptly. “Soon.” Linc straightened his tie and smoothed his suit. “You’ve been saying that for months,” Iona said sternly. Linc crossed his arms over his chest. “I’ll tell her when I think she needs to know.” “That arrogance will get you in trouble.” Iona glared, then picked up her bag and stalked to the door. “Thanks for watching Danny,” Linc said stiffly. “I like the kid.” Iona waved it off. She slammed the door behind her. Linc waved his hand, stopping the plates from falling off the wall. He levitated them back onto the wall and straightened them. He glanced around his home. After Iona had come for her visit, he had decided to actually get a house they could use. One he could bring Chaya and Danny to.
