I enjoyed this book; writing in the margins and underlining key and questionable passages. Here are the top three things I gleaned:1. I must deliberately schedule and protect reading time; reducing mindless entertainment and repetitive news shows.2. I need to develop a topical data base with quotes and references; to include the top three things gleaned from each book.3. It is OK not to finish, or just skim, or reread any book. This book will give you some practical ways to think about why you read, what books you read, and how you read them. For any reader or non reader, this is an excellent book to read. The suggestions are helpful and useful to consider. I especially appreciate that he does not expect all of his advice to be useful to all readers. It is only advice, but very good advice that can be adapted for each individual. As Christians, this book is so important in understanding how you read differently from a non Christian.
Absolutely loved it! It will be a book I come back to often, and will highly recommend to others.

Wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but it was a pleasant surprise. Nicely done.
