I wasn't too sure about this book. I love Karen Hawkins, her historicals to be more specific. Her first contemporary book didn't do it for me, so picking this one up was more of a curious act on my part. Would this book be any better than the first one or would it be more like her historicals that I enjoy so much?It definitely wasn't like her historical romance, but it does have that sexual tension and the humor that I expect from Karen Hawkins. But...it just didn't do it for me. The characters are likable enough, but at times I found both Mark and Susan to be more on the bleh side...yep, I found them boring. I did enjoy reading the antics of the senior citizens.2.5/5 Another delightful read from Karen Hawkins. Light, fun and humorous! I really enjoyed Susan and Mark's relationship and it really hooked me as their problems were real and written well. The antics of the geriatric murder mystery club were hilarious as before and the supporting characters rang true. I really hope that there will be more in this series! Really enjoyed it and it really uplifted my mood as I had just finished a rather dark and moody book prior.
What do You think about Lois Lane Tells All (2010)?
A nice follow up... not as good as the first in the series.

3.5 Enjoyable but I dislike "mystery" subplots.
