Holy Hell!!! Cole Grayson had me simmering all the way through this book.I admit I am a sucker for a tortured, tattooed Military man, and he ticked every one of those boxes for me and then some.Julie really worked for me too, and together they were perfect.I have read the previous Star Harbour books and now Long Simmering Spring, book 3 in succession, and I have to say they are all great, but this one was on a whole different level for me, it seemed to have more depth, emotion and story for me. Saying that alot of things that happen in this book have been building from the beginning of book 1 so that may be partly the reason. Books 1 & 2 were 4 stars for me, Cole's story is a firm and strong 5, onto Val now........ I kinda don't want to start it as I have enjoyed my time in Star Harbour and I don't really want to say goodbye... Third book in the series I have read and so far I have enjoyed every single one. Special in this particular story was highlighting the issue of PTSD and the havoc it wreaks on the lives of our vets and their loved ones. The character of Cole and his internal struggle with his demons, was very believably portrayed and touched close to the real thing.I felt the warmness of this close knit community once again, through catching up with familiar characters from previous stories and now known locations. The ongoing red thread, running through all of the Star Harbour stories thus far, was evident here as well, and I'm curious to see where that ends.On to the last brother....and what I assume will be the finale of the series!

Cole and Julie's book and Val and Cam's book are the one's I was waiting for in this series.
