I hate spoilers but...I know how some people get upset about a certain act that takes place within a story so......Warning: if you are highly offended or absolutely HATE books where cheating takes place then this novel is not for you...I mean I hope you'll give it a go because this story is so beautiful, but I wouldn't want anyone to get so upset that you throw your device against a wall and completely freak...you've been warned!Note: this novel involves sensitive topics such as....rape and suicide Ava had a hard life, she managed to escape a past that will soon come crashing back.....In the mist of having her daughter early, her birthing partner/BFF Cole was across seas and her boyfriend turned fiancé Sebastian was off fighting in the war...Ava felt alone. She found solace and comfort in a pair of intense green eyes....enter Doctor Ashton Bailey. Ashton was able to anchor Ava and bring a smile and laughter back into her life. As the tension and intensity between Ava & Ashton mounts Ava's past hits her right in the face. The past that she was strong enough to escape but it ultimately became her little sisters Fran worst nightmare. Now Ava has to go back to her hometown and face her & Frans nightmares.Ok where do I start....I loved this story. It had me in tears, my heart broke for Ava, it broke for her sister and it broke for Sebastian. I won't lie there where times when I was downright angry at Ava and Ashton. Their personal gain was someone else's heartache. I hope that Sebastian finds his true love because it obviously wasn't Ava!When I was finished reading my mind went into overdrive, I began to evaluate my life and bond with my own sisters and I realized that Fran's last wish for Ava is also my only wish for my sisters: "Get married, have children, travel the world, walk every step of the empire state building, get a tattoo, swim with dolphins, free fall from a plane, go skinny dipping. Anything. Everything. Just go, and live your life, grasp it with both hands and cherish it, please.Francesca Jacobson, 2013 " Welp.... I liked the relationship between Ava and Ashton in the epilogue. Didn't like the cheating. The grammatical issues were weird too me. I guess because the author is not American but trying to write in an American voice. Never sounds right. (Yummy Mummy, no American would say that) And really the Seattle Redhawks? If you are going to publish a story, two months after the Seattle Seahawks win the Superbowl it shouldn't be that difficult to get their name right.
What do You think about Look After You (2000)?
Absolutely a must read. A heart wrenching story.
