OK, this is not one I'd choose to read aloud to a large group, but it's perfect for one or two to share. I like that Staake's look-and-find book isn't too crazy-cluttered. The cut-out holes show objects that rhyme, turn the page to see the big picture with more to find. Very cool that with the next page turn, cut-out holes show rhyming objects you might not have noticed, so kids want to reread the page to see what they didn't see the first time. Great for reluctant readers. The second in the series, Look! Another Book! offers more than 125 thing to seek and find! Die-cuts help children focus in on a detail. Then they can turn the page and take in the jam-packed pictures. We had a great time playing “I Spy” with this book as well as laughing at the hysterical things we could spot. A pirate fishing with a banana? Check. A crab holding a candy cane? Check. A fish reading mail? Check!Look! Another Book! matches the goofy sense of humor of children and captures their attention and imagination. This book gives them lots of practice being able to hone in on details of a busy page as well as practice and grow their vocabulary. This book offers fun exploration alone or with a grown-up.
Love these books! They are I-spy types, minus the sometimes creepy illustrations.
