I thought it was fantastic. I read it a few months after I finish it. I have not read the other two books in the series, but I hope to. It truly is a master piece.I have even memorized the poem that went along;When dark creeps in and eats the light,Bury your fears on Sorry Night.For in the winter's blackest hours,Comes the feasting of the Vours, No one can see it, the life they stole,Your body's here but not your soul..." Well first of all, I'm not really a fan of the horror genre (because I'm a real scaredy-cat) so I read this book just to get the kicks. But really, no offense in my opinion for this book to be classified under the horror genre puts even Darren Shan and James Lee to shame. It should be classified under the more general fantasy genre instead. Going to the story line, it was what I would say a typical "protagonist's family member who got possessed and a rescue attempt after a predictable plot buildup" possession story.But bad opinions aside, at least the book had me kept turning pages without getting too bored. Finished the book in two days so the story was well played out despite the common plot. If you're not a horror fan like me, you should start with this book like training wheels on a bike before going on to big guns like Stephen King.
Me sorprendio considerablemente, lo pospuse como 4 meses, y una vez que lo comence no lo pude dejar, en cierto punto me dio miedo, de hecho soñe con Henry.Se me hizo una historia fuera de lo normal, con cosas originales, con los personajes te llevas algunas sorpresas que le dan la vuelta a la historia.Aunque en el final espera conocer algo màs,y solo me dejo intrigada y sin poder conseguir Solsticio del fin de mundo aqui en Mexico u.u
